Following a decade in academia in the U.S., Jacinthe decided to return to the corporate world in Cairo and work in the financial industry.
 
 
After her B.A. in Journalism and M.A in English and Comparative Literature at AUC, she received her PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 2015. She has held various teaching positions, the last of which was Visiting Assistant Professor at Oberlin College and Conservatory.
 
 
Jacinthe started her career in graphic design and advertising. She worked in content creation and has been a professional editor for over a decade.
 
After Research Editor at Beltone Brokerage, her journey has finally led her to the National Bank of Egypt, where she’s currently heading Marketing Content Management under MarCom in the Marketing and Social Development sector.
Alongside her professional career, Jacinthe is a writer who has published essays and articles and is now writing a poetry collection and a collection of short stories. She is also visual artist who works on fine art and conceptual portrait photography.
 
 
Through her eclectic background, Jacinthe wants to demonstrate how to transfer one’s professional skills, however disparate those might seem, across industries, to advance one’s career, and how to use creativity in one’s personal and professional life, to meet challenges and grow into a fulfilled member of society.
